1. No purchase necessary. Must be 19 years of age or older and a resident of Ontario to participate. During the contest period, there will be one (1) Stella Artois “Unseen” event (the “Event”) on one night at each participating location. Consumers can visit participating locations on the Event night for a chance to win. A list of participating locations and dates can be found online by visiting www.clubstellaartois.com (subject to change by the Contest Sponsor). Contest starts on or about August 13, 2009, and closes on September 6th, 2009 at 2:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time (the “Contest Close Date”). Limit of one contest entry per person. While supplies last.
2. HOW TO PLAY: At each Event between approximately 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., Stella Artois Legere Ambassadors (the “Crew”) will distribute to consumers one (1) of five (5) different multiple choice versions of a Stella Artois Film IQ Quiz (“Quiz”). Complete the Quiz, go to a Stella Artois Film IQ submission pod and enter your Quiz answers in order to receive your personal film I.Q. score. Once you’ve entered your Quiz answers, you will also have the opportunity to participate in the Unseen Contest, by fully completing the electronic entry form for a chance to win the Grand Prize (as described below). At the end of the Event, the Crew will randomly draw an entrant’s name from among the eligible contest entries received during the Event. If a selected entrant is not present at the time of the draw, he or she will be contacted by phone and/or email within two (2) days of the draw. If a selected entrant is unable to be contacted after three (3) attempts, he or she forfeits the prize and another entrant may, at the sole discretion of Labatt Brewing Company Limited (the “Contest Sponsor”), be selected.
3. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: During the Event, consumers can request a Quiz without purchase from a member of the Crew. Limit one request per person. While supplies last.
4. GRAND PRIZE: There is a total of one (1) Grand prize available to be won at each participating location, consisting of a night out for two (2) to attend the Stella Artois “Unseen” experience in Toronto, Ontario (the “Grand Prize”). The Grand Prize will include appetizers for two (2), two (2) Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) movie premiere tickets and access for two (2) to an official Stella Artois/TIFF evening event. The date of the “Unseen” experience is Thursday, September 17th, 2009 (subject to change by the Contest Sponsor). Approximate retail value of grand prize is $1,000 CAD. Alcohol is not part of the prize. Vehicle service will be provided for all activities during the evening. Winner and guest will be responsible for transportation to and from their residence. The Grand Prize must be taken on the specific date stipulated by the Contest Sponsor. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to change the date without prior notice. Inability to attend on the pre-selected date will result in the prize automatically being forfeited without compensation. Winner and companion are responsible for all expenses not specifically described as part of the prize, including, but not limited to, insurance, gratuities, transportation, meals, and all personal expenses and taxes.
Prize must be accepted as awarded. Prize is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. No substitutions, except by the Contest Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize or any portion of a prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
Selected entrant(s) must correctly answer a skill-testing question without assistance and otherwise be in compliance with these rules in order to be declared a winner.
5. ODDS: The odds of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received at each participating location.
6. ELIGIBILITY: The contest is open to any resident of Ontario who is 19 years of age or older, who is not an employee, contractor, agent or representative of the Contest Sponsor, or their affiliates, agencies, distribution companies, and who is not an employee of the applicable provincial liquor license control boards and their licensees, retailers, or distributors (the “Government Agencies”), prize suppliers, the contest judge, or a member of the immediate family (parent, spouse, sibling, child) of, or domiciled with any of the foregoing persons. The Government Agencies are not connected with this contest in any manner whatsoever and are not liable in any way whatsoever in regard to any matter which relates to this contest. Winner's companion must also be 19 years of age or older and otherwise eligible under these rules.
7. RELEASE: Before a prize is awarded, grand prize winner(s) and companion(s) will be required to sign one or more declaration, publicity consent, waiver and release documents releasing the Contest Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates and subsidiaries and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from all liability of any kind, including without limitation any loss, damage, injury (including personal injury) or expense, in connection with this contest or occurring as a result of the prize being awarded. By participating in this contest, all participants declare that they have read, understood and complied with the contest rules, consent to the use of their name, biographical information and/or likeness for the purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation, agree to abide by all decisions by the Contest Sponsor (which are final), and agree to release and hold harmless the Contest Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies from any liability in connection with participating in this contest and/or any prize awarded.
8. GENERAL: Quizzes that are obtained through unauthorized sources, or which are not original or are illegible, altered, reproduced, stolen, forged, counterfeited, irregular, or that contain printing or other errors are void. All Quizzes become the property of the Contest Sponsor and none shall be returned. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for Quizzes that have been lost, tampered with or are ineligible. All decisions of the Contest Sponsor shall be final. The Contest Sponsor and their agents are not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions including lost, misappropriated or corrupted entries, virus, worm or Trojan Horse damage or any other damage which may limit a participant's ability to participate in the Contest.
9. ERRORS: The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for errors in the offer or administration of this contest, including but not limited to, errors in the advertising, the contest rules, the selection and announcement of the winners or the distribution of any prize.
10. DISQUALIFICATIONS: The Contest Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found (i) to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (ii) to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or (iii) to be acting in an un-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, or to post inappropriate or demeaning material on the web page. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY ALTER OR DAMAGE ANY ENTRY OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL AND SEEK DAMAGES OR ANY OTHER REMEDY FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, municipal and local laws. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to modify or terminate this contest at any time without notice to participants. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
